MBO 2009 Results
Best of Show Trophy
This year's contest attracted 195 entries with homebrewers from 19 states entering the contest. Best-of-Show Mead/Ciders went to Doug Parsley from Tarentum PA. Best-of-Show Beers went to Cody & Steve Wiseman from Cross Lanes WV. Congratulations to all the winners and everyone who entered. See the sidebar for more information.
Judges whose entries placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in their categories won hand-carved wooden medallions courtesy of Roger Dailey. Best of Show winners received a hand-carved placard, also by Roger.
The Spirit of Free Beer Award, a club-only award presented to a GHHA member who demonstrates outstanding craftsmanship and dedication to the art of homebrewing, was awarded to Kevin Colegrove by last year's recipient, Cindy Dailey.

Judges were given a commemorative tasting glass laser-etched with the GHHA logo and "MBO Judge."
The GHHA would like to thank everyone who helped make the 2009 Mountain Brewer Open possible, including volunteers, judges, stewards, and entrants. It wouldn't have been possible without you!

Label Contest Results
This year's MBO also played host to our fourth annual MBO Label Contest. There were 11 entries, the winners selected by popular vote. And the winners are:
